Hi All! The past year and half on Instagram as @jemandthemisfits has been incredible. We’ve (virtually) met so many wonderful friends from around the world and discovered amazing communities of animal rescue. It’s been so great to have such a positive response to us sharing the joy of senior rescue, but what’s been really amazing for me, is discovering fur families like us! There’s been a real sense of community, a place to share laughs, information and support both in the everyday and in our darkest days.

I’ve been feeling that I would like to share more than just a photo caption for a while now.  I think a blog might be a nice way to do this, so I’m giving it a try. I’ll start by sharing a little more about us and some of what we’ve learned along the way, but hope any of you who view pets as family can weigh in, and this grow to be a resource for all of us.

There is such goodwill in our little animal loving Instafamily and a lot of valuable information shared, too. Often life gets in the way (as it should!), and sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everyone and also what’s being shared. I hope this can be a caring place where we can compare notes and more easily refer back to them, all the while supporting one another and improving animal lives. Let’s see where this goes!
